Finding a location for making high quality band or ensemble recordings has got a whole lot easier with the UR44C. With multiple high-quality inputs/outputs, professional-grade components, DSP effects and flexible use with computer or iOS device, all wrapped up in a compact, roadworthy package, anywhere is now your recording studio.
1. Combo Inputs 1/2 with Hi-Z and Peak indicator
Great sound quality begins here, with the UR44C’s combo inputs and high-quality D-PRE mic preamps. Connect microphones via XLR plugs and use the brilliant, transparent sound of the Class-A D-PRE mic preamps to capture your voice or acoustic instrument. Or directly plug in Hi-Z instruments like electric guitar or bass, using unbalanced 6.3mm plugs.
2. Combo Inputs 3/4 with Line and Peak indicator
You can connect two more microphones with XLR plugs to these inputs, which also transparent D-PRE preamps. Or you can use them to connect line level instruments like keyboards and electric guitars via effects units, using balanced or unbalanced 6.3mm plugs.
3. USB indicator
This indicator lights up when the power is turned on and the UR44C is communicating with your computer or iOS device. If your computer or iOS device does not recognize the UR44C, the indicator will flash continuously.
4. +48V phantom power switch and indicator for Inputs 1/2 and 3/4
The UR44C provides +48 V phantom power on inputs 1-4 for when you’re using large (studio) or small diaphragm condenser microphones. The indicator lights up when the +48 V switch on the back panel of the UR44C is turned on.
5. Gain control knob for Inputs 1–4
Each input has its own gain control, which you can use in combination with the Peak indicator above each input socket to easily dial in the perfect input level for your performance.
6. Phones jacks 1–2 with volume controls
You can connect two sets of stereo headphones to these 6.3mm jacks for monitoring. Each one has its own independent volume control for adjusting the output signal level. The mix settings for each headphone output can be made in the dspMixFx UR-C application.
7. OUTPUT knob and power indicator
This control adjusts the output signal level of the main outputs on the rear panel. The power indicator ring lights up when the UR44C is receiving power and it will flash continuously if the power supply is insufficient. If this happens, you can use the included power adapter to provide sufficient power to the UR44C.
