The Acoustically Concealed Woofer (ACW) technology provides excellent imaging

The 8341’s two woofers use Genelec’s revolutionary Acoustically Concealed Woofers (ACW) to expand the coaxial acoustical radiation concept to bass frequencies. Hidden inside the monitor’s cabinet, these woofers employ the whole front baffle as a huge Directivity modulate Waveguide (DCW) to modulate directivity across a very wide bandwidth, resulting in a massive “sweet spot.” It also provides good separation from the 8341’s Minimum Diffraction Coaxial (MDC) driver, which reproduces midrange and high frequencies. The end product is extremely precise monitoring with unrivaled frequency separation, a broad dispersion pattern, and fantastic imaging.

Smart Active Monitor (SAM) technology offers incredibly precise monitoring

Genelec’s Smart Active Monitor (SAM) technology addresses this by allowing the 8341 SAM to automatically adapt its level, timing, and equalization to your space, guaranteeing that you hear the original subtleties of your source precisely and without color or distortion. You may use the extremely intuitive Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software to operate a complete network of SAM speakers, resulting in a highly versatile computer-controlled system of monitors and subwoofers.

Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) provides concentrated near- and midfield sound

The 8341 SAM uses Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE), which has rounded corners and a softly curved front and sides. This enables the 8341 SAM to have a very smooth frequency response and excellent image quality while minimizing cabinet edge diffraction.
