Genelec 8320A SAM Overview
The Genelec 8320A is a single SAM-Series, 2-way active studio monitor designed to provide accurate mix referencing with software control capabilities for audio engineers, musicians, and producers in project studios, small control rooms, edit suites, or mobile setups. It has 100W of Class-D amplification that powers a 4″ woofer and a 3/4″ tweeter, with a frequency response of 55 Hz to 23 kHz.
A unique waveguide improves imaging, while the bass reflex port broadens the low-frequency response. The die-cast aluminum casing is designed to reduce diffraction and reflection. An XLR 3-pin jack provides a connection to a balanced analog source. Built-in signal overload protection improves reliability and protects the speaker. GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager) software and the GLM User Kit (sold separately) allow for detailed frequency changes and automated calibration. A configurable power-saving mode allows for automated power up/down via a signal-sensing circuit.
The 8320A has several mounting options, including an Iso-Pod isolation stand and threaded holes that work with mic stands and other wall/ceiling brackets.
Genelec 8320A SAM Two-way Monitor Features:
