Austrian Audio Hi-X65

The Austrian Audio Hi-X65, a set of over-ear, open-back headphones developed for mixing and mastering professionals, provides both comfort and precision in the studio. The headphones include patented high-excursion 44mm drivers that provide a linear frequency response, minimal distortion, and a frequency response of 5 Hz to 28 kHz. This improves the QC process for mastery by making faults easier to discover.
Soft, removable memory foam earpads offer a comfortable fit for extended periods. The headphones may be folded for compact storage and easy transportation. The kit includes two detachable cables, a 1/4″ converter, and a tote case.

For mixing and mastering

The Austrian Audio Hi-X65 uses speakers with exclusive High Excursion technology to provide a linear frequency response as well as a wide and accurate soundstage. This makes them ideal for QC work throughout the mastering process while also making mixing enjoyable.

Custom Drivers

These headphones have a 44mm driver and use a ring magnet technology. This design provides for better ventilation. The ring magnet, when paired with a copper-clad aluminium voice coil, decreases the weight of the membrane and the voice coil attached to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction quicker, resulting in a more immediate impulse reaction. The result is great bass imaging, reduced THD at lower frequencies, and a linear frequency response.

To increase longevity and stability, the headphones feature metal hinges and a metal bow. A vented design with soft memory foam earpads keeps you comfortable for extended listening periods. The earpads and bow cushions are removable, ensuring the product’s extended life.

Easy to use and transport

The Austrian Audio Hi-X65 headphones come with two detachable cables that vary in length. A 1/4″ adapter allows you to use the headphones with your choice of headphone amplifier. When not in use, the headphones may be conveniently folded and stowed in the included carry bag.
