The BOSS PW-2 Power Driver is a now-discontinued, Japan-made overdrive/distortion pedal that was part of BOSS’s “Power Series” in the mid-1990s. Designed for guitarists who wanted thick, low-end-heavy distortion tones, the PW-2 focused on delivering fat, muscular sounds perfect for grunge, alternative rock, and heavy rhythm playing. Though it was overshadowed by more famous BOSS pedals like the DS-1 and MT-2, it has since gained cult status among collectors and tone enthusiasts.
