Fluid Audio FC10S Subwoofer
The Fluid Audio FC10S Subwoofer is designed for any mid-to-large room requiring bass extension and the is the perfect solution for recording/mixing studios that would require solid and accurate bass reproduction
Threshold
Many types of music benefit from bass extension – from Hip-Hop to House, to Rock. Being able to hear your mix with bass extension is critical to accurately creating your music. The FC10S subwoofer allows you to hear every detail down to 20Hz, which gets below your hearing threshold, and down to where you actually “feel” it. Mix Engineers want the confidence to know that their mixes translate well on all types of systems. That is why we included a standby footswitch. With a click of the included foot pedal, you can turn the bass on or off, and audition your mix with bass extension and without.
FC10S EQ Settings
The FC10S also has two built-in EQ settings that allow for two different settings – depending on your music: A more conventional Flat response, as well as a “Punch” setting that is perfect for Dance or other mid-bass heavy music. For further flexibility, the FC10S has a variable phase adjustment to fine-tune the phase for optimal matching to your L/R monitors (0-180°), a variable low pass crossover filter control (50 -200) hertz, and an 80Hz high pass filter (used with foot switch) for satellite connections. We have also included a ground lift switch as well, to minimize ground hum with some home wiring.
Key Components of Fluid Audio FC10S
Driver Size:
10-Inch Woofer: The FC10S features a 10-inch long-throw woofer, designed to deliver deep and impactful bass frequencies. The size and design of the driver help ensure a wide and accurate bass response.
Amplification:
100 Watts RMS / 200 Watts Peak: The subwoofer is powered by a built-in Class D amplifier, providing a robust 100 watts of continuous power and 200 watts peak. This ensures sufficient power to drive the woofer and produce strong low-end performance.
Frequency Response:
30Hz to 150Hz: The FC10S offers a frequency response range from 30Hz to 150Hz, allowing it to cover the lower end of the audio spectrum effectively. This range helps in accurately reproducing low-frequency details in music and audio mixes.
Adjustable Crossover:
Variable Crossover Control: The subwoofer includes an adjustable crossover control, allowing you to set the cutoff frequency where the subwoofer’s output blends with your main monitors. This ensures a seamless integration with your existing studio monitors or speaker system.
Volume Control:
Variable Volume: It includes a volume control to adjust the output level of the subwoofer independently. This allows you to balance the subwoofer with your main speakers according to your preference and room acoustics.
Inputs and Outputs:
-
- Multiple Inputs: The FC10S offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, providing flexibility for connecting to various audio sources and equipment.
- Outputs: It also includes outputs for connecting to other speakers or additional subwoofers, allowing for expanded setups if needed.
